As Limbs 4 Life patron, Don has actively taken on a role as guest speaker at Limbs 4 Life events, as well as appearing on Andrew Denton’s ‘Enough Rope’ alongside Melissa in August 2006.
Tim Matthews
Tim was appointed as a Limbs 4 Life Patron in 2007. Tim was born without his left arm and, like Don, is also a sporting champion with numerous medals and titles under his belt.

Tim is a three-time Paralympian, and has won three gold medals at the Atlanta and Sydney Paralympics. Tim is also an active member of the community and has been awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) and City of Melbourne Lord Mayor’s Award in recognition of this. Professionally, Tim works as a Development Officer for the Australian Paralympic Committee, running sports talent search days across Victoria and Tasmania.
Tim says “I look forward to a long involvement with Limbs 4 Life; I have a deep passion to connect with and support the amputee community”
